🚀 Social AI: Creating Smarter, Sharable Content with AI

🧠 Inspiration

The idea for Social AI was born out of a simple frustration — how time-consuming it is to create high-quality, engaging videos for social media. Between scriptwriting, editing, formatting for different platforms, and scheduling posts, content creation often becomes a full-time job. I wanted to simplify that process, especially for creators, small business owners, and personal brands who don’t have access to a professional media team.

I was also inspired by the rise of generative AI and how it can empower creativity. I thought: What if I could use AI not just to create content, but to fully automate the flow from idea to video to post? That became the mission behind Social AI.

🛠️ How I Built It

I built Social AI using the Bolt.new platform — a powerful no-code/low-code tool that let me bring together AI models, UI logic, and API integrations rapidly.

Key Components:

OpenAI GPT: For generating video scripts and caption ideas based on user prompts.
AI Video Generator API: Converts scripts into short-form, stylized videos.
Social Media Integration: Enables users to auto-publish or schedule content directly to Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
User Dashboard: A simple UI for entering content ideas, selecting styles, and tracking content performance.

I designed the interface to feel intuitive even for non-tech users — minimal buttons, clear instructions, and automated defaults that work out of the box.

💡 What I Learned

This project taught me a lot about:

User experience design, especially for mobile-first creators.
Optimizing AI outputs, such as prompt engineering for tone and style consistency.
Video formats and aspect ratios across different social platforms.
Building with speed using platforms like Bolt.new without sacrificing functionality.

Most importantly, I learned how powerful it is to bridge creativity with automation. AI doesn’t replace the creator — it amplifies them.

🧗‍♂️ Challenges I Faced

Every project comes with hurdles. Here are a few I encountered:

Video rendering speed: Initially, some video outputs were too slow or buggy. I had to test several video generation tools to find a stable and fast solution.
Social media APIs: Platforms like TikTok have limited or changing APIs. This required some creative workarounds and third-party tools.
Content moderation: Ensuring AI doesn't generate inappropriate or off-brand content meant adding filters, guardrails, and tone selectors.
User education: Some users didn’t know what to input, so I built in sample prompts and dynamic suggestions to guide them.
