Inspiration
Indian Healthcare system has been always under that development phase, but the growth in real has been very steady. So to add our bit In the same, we made access to Hospitals just some clicks away.
What it does
We have a build a website where a user can directly access the entire list of the hospitals in the city and can also locate them on maps and follow the directions. The aim is to make the treatment reach to the patient as soon as possible.
How we built it
Everything starts with research, we did a lot of research!! Planning out the workflow was the next part, we divided the work made the components and assembled them. Finally all-together we worked on providing the finishing touches . We made it on Visual Studio Code, using HTML, CSS, JS, React js, UI design using Figma, and Foursquare Places API, and deployed the react app to netlify.
Challenges we ran into
We have faced a large number of challenges: 1.Since this is our first hackathon ,so the very first challenge was this only, lack of prerequisites. 2.Assembeling the stuff, that we made was a bit challenging too. 3.Fixing the errors and bugs, it took HOURS!!..to fix them
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It's really fascinating, how people sitting kilometers apart can work on a same project. Trying hard to fix bugs and solving them gave so much satisfaction.
What we learned
We learnt about real life problems, and how we work on them. This was our very first hackathon experience and we are very much satisfied with it. We learnt about fascinating new technologies ,various types of errors and how to resolve them. And a bunch of valuable real life skills, which surely is a takeaway form this hackathon.
What's next for SOCERERS
There is always scope for improvement, we are working on adding more features such as disease specific sorting of hospitals, ratings, Google Map directions , appointment with hospital , etc.
