So you met some people in the last couple terms, but let’s be honest, you’ve forgotten their names and you aren’t supposed to be meeting new people as an upperclassman.

As you progress through college, the feeling and ability to strike up quick, genuine, and 1 on 1, conversations with people you’ve never met before, or people that are in your established tight knit friend circles fades. SoCap, or SocialCapital, is a video chatting platform where college students are virtually paired on campus during a specific time each day to foster these connections.

SoCap chat times are hosted 1-2 times, but there's only one catch: you just get one shot. If just one person leaves, the meeting instantly ends. So you have to make the most of it: meet a new friend, catch up with an old buddy, or embrace the moment to forgive someone you ghosted this year!

Users will have the future ability to also customize their personal interests to focus their discussions on. Personal chats can turn into interviews, educational series, or guided mentorship sessions.
