Inspiration

Roshan has a 477 day streak in Duolingo, and is now under close watch by the green owl. We decided to apply a similar daily gamification strategy as Duolingo to encourage people to stay clean from their addictions.

What it does

It tracks how many days you have stayed clean and provides stats on your improved finances.

How we built it

We used the Xamarin framework for C# and Visual Studio.

Challenges we ran into

No one has built an app before, and a majority aren't in CS or in person.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The app works. Joseph is proud of his app icon (we agree).

What we learned

We learned app dev and that we should have brainstormed earlier.

What's next for Sober Owl

The local community features like the ranking and community. Fancy visuals to make the app feel more dynamic.
