SnusStop

Inspiration

I got inspired for this project because I struggled with nicotine pouches (snus) before and wanted something that helped me quit.

What it does

The app helps people who want to quit by showing them their progress on the lock screen. If you don't want to commit to quitting yet, you can start by counting your snus consumption on the lock screen.

How I built it

I built it with Swift, NextJS and Capacitor

Challenges I ran into

Prototyping was slowly, I made several iterations, iOS Programming had unique challenges itself, session restore was the biggest issue

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Some users report that the app really helps them.

What I learned

Starting your own app sounds easier on paper - but it is still possible if you keep pushing forward.

What's next for SnusStop

Scaling and going international.
