In mountain environments, mobile networks are often unreliable or completely unavailable. Many trekkers and travelers underestimate how dangerous this can be during emergencies. SnowSignal is an educational and awareness-based tool that helps users understand communication challenges in mountainous regions. It explains how weather, altitude, and terrain affect signals and teaches users how to prepare alternative communication plans before entering remote areas. The project focuses on preparedness, not technology dependency, and encourages responsible planning before mountain travel.
