Snow Gum

Inspiration

I was inspired by the amazing children in my Chinese school class that I was a TA for!

What it does

It allows children to learn a new language through interactive, compelling gameplay.

How we built it

We used pure javascript to build it, and created all the graphics ourselves with photoshop.

Challenges we ran into

Time was the largest challenge by far!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we made a working product within the time frame.

What we learned

We learned how to integrate graphics with speech recognition; we also learned how to use Easel.js, Annyang.js, and ESpeak.js.

What's next for Snow Gum

We will make it into a teaching tool for teachers to upload their own vocabulary for their classes.
