Inspiration
Tired of jumping from community to community, messenger to messenger, website to website, social media to social media, etc. to find good content on your topic of interest every time? What if the final content you want to see exists as a link anyway, so it's just good information organized by topic?
What it does
Snippod provides an online information sharing service on a wide range of topics.
Snippod is a Topic Network Service (TNS) that collects a variety of information structured as a network and delivers responses ranked by users within each topic. Snippod uniquely links each topic with similar topics, allowing Snippod users to easily jump to a new topic of interest, providing an important step toward excellent navigation in the sea of the Internet!
How I built it
I created it as a web app and wrapped it as a hybrid app and are currently deploying it to web, iOS, and Android from a single source.
Challenges I ran into
Crawling tons of content, filtering it by quality, and categorizing it by topic is error-prone. It's quite difficult to process tons of content. I hope to be a global service, but for now, we are only processing Korean content.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I currently handle everything from planning, design, development, operations, and AI on my own. My expertise in any one area may not be the best, but I pride myself on being able to cover all the bases.
What I learned
Project management is hard enough when you're doing it alone, and I've found scheduling to be especially difficult in development.
What's next for Snippod.com
It'll be incorporating AI in earnest.
