Inspiration 🐻

One of the major challenges that we as designers often face is a blank canvas. Where do you even start? Finding inspiration takes time and effort, and gets draining when one would rather be creating something new. As designers ourselves, this is what we discovered:

In reality, it's closer to this:

Gather inspo -> 2. Get distracted and start #pushingpixels -> 3. Run out of steam, start scrolling through Pinterest to find more ideas -> 4. ????????? -> 5. Results

The design process is never linear. Why constrain it to certain times? Inspiration strikes in unexpectedly, and we wanted to leverage that to continue inspiring our designs.

What it does 🧑‍🎨

Introducing snippets, a drag-and-drop tool that helps you pair inspiration online with your projects in Adobe Express. As a Designer's best friend, Snippet simplifies the toughest part of designing by offering both inspiration and developer tools for your ongoing works of art in Adobe Express. Designers can access their personally curated library of ideas, helping them overcome creative blocks making tasks more efficient and enjoyable.

How we built it 🛠️

We developed a Chrome extension and an Adobe Express Add-on using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Our extension lets users save images from the internet into our MongoDB database directly through the browsers context menu. Users can tweak images to fit their project or design using Dall-E image generation. We use the Adobe Express Add-on SDK to allow users to instantly add these saved images in to their Adobe Express projects.
