I was trying to copy something from a website to search for this hackathon, but I couldnt since it was an image, and its really annoying that I can't without copying it as an image then going to a third party website, which could be unsafe sometimes.
This is why I created SnipNCopy, its inspired by snipping tool but instead of copying it as an image, it copys it as a text! SnipNCopy inspired by the snipping tool, creates an interactive UI for you to be able to grab your text right from the screen without much effort!
We built it using python with the help of libraries such as mss, cv2, keyboard pytesseract and more
The challenges we ran into were the actual math and way to actually get the screens image
I'm happy that it reduces the time needed to actually get the text from an image in a safe way.
I learned how to implement libraries and use them while accomplishing what I need
The next thing planned for SnipNCopy is quality improvement.
