During a 5-hour hackathon, our team developed Snatch Guard, an app that transforms smartphones into their own security devices. We aimed to address the growing issue of phone snatching by leveraging built-in sensors to detect sudden, suspicious movements. Our app instantly alerts users with a loud alarm when a snatching motion is detected, helping prevent thefts on the spot. Despite the time constraints, we created a functional prototype with real-time detection and a simple, intuitive interface, showcasing how technology can be used for personal security in everyday life.
