SnapSum is a groundbreaking Chrome extension that harnesses the power of AI to revolutionize web browsing:

🛠️ How we built it

Our development journey pushed the boundaries of what's possible with browser extensions:

  1. AI Integration Mastery: We used the Chrome Canary to access Browser's web-ai capabilities, unlocking its full potential through extensive console experimentation. Our summarization functions used the Summarization API.
  2. Chrome Extension Development: Leveraging the latest in Chrome's AI APIs, we built extension using JavaScript seamlessly integrating with users' browsing experience.
  3. User-Centric Design: We iteratively improved the design to make it very intuitive , we crafted an making advanced AI accessible to all.

🏋️ Challenges we ran into

We had to do lots of Prompt Engineering to get our Fact Checker to work correctly , I also had problems with Translate API , it didn't work in code , the .create function is undefined, didn't have much time to troubleshoot.

🏆 Accomplishments that we're proud of

  1. We built a fully-functional, AI-powered Chrome extension in less than three days – a feat that showcases great technical prowess and adaptability.
  2. We're excited to be among the first to successfully harness Chrome's built-in AI APIs, paving the way for a new generation of intelligent browser extensions.

💡 What we learned

This hackathon reinforced our belief in the power of iterative innovation. By continuously experimenting and refining our approach, we've created a tool that's greater than the sum of its parts, demonstrating that even complex AI applications can be developed rapidly with the right mindset.
