Inspiration

We thought about the issues many people face on a daily basis and had the idea for a mobile app that would be your primary news source.

What it does

It gives the user a daily feed of relevant news from reputable sources. It also includes a built in weather widget that is constantly updated.

How we built it

We used flutter to build the front end for the mobile app. Using Figma, we prototyped the UI as well as the user experience. In order to get all the news artices we used news-api, which we placed on a server to communicate with the mobile app.

Challenges we ran into

We had trouble coming up with an idea for our project and spent much of Saturday discussing potential ideas. We also spent some time learning new technologies, namely flutter as well as figma. We hit some roadblocks along the way with things not working the way we want them to but most issues were resolved.
