Inspiration
Teachers often have to decide between rewriting code for the sake of effective teaching and introducing bugs and confusions along the way or presenting large pieces of code and navigating through it, intimidating students. We decided to build the best of both worlds which presents code incrementally and shows the output of snapshots without the inefficiency of writing code at teaching time.
What it does
Snapper takes snapshots of code and presents over a localhost web interface.
Challenges we ran into
File permissions.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It works.
What we learned
Interfacing between the front end and back end of web server. Developing a user friendly interface and providing an implementation which allows smooth interaction.
What's next for Snapper
Cleaning up a lot of things. Making a editor plugin which automates snapshot process. Improving multilanguage support. Making it less hacky. Multiple file support.
