Inspiration
As a 9th-grade student developer, I constantly found myself re-typing the same assignment formats, looking for saved research links across messy tabs, and losing code snippets. I built SnapClip to create a fast, unified, and secure personal vault for text, code, and links.
What It Does
- Strict Authentication Gate: Completely protects your vault with Firebase Authentication before granting access.
- 1-Tap Clipboard Copying: Instant one-click copying of full templates and snippets with confirmation toast.
- Smart Folder Organization: Create custom folders with dedicated emoji icons to separate School, Code, and Personal notes.
- Real-Time Search: Instant multi-attribute filtering across titles, snippet bodies, and
#tags. - Cloud & Cross-Platform Sync: Built for web and mobile with live cloud persistence.
How We Built It
- Frontend & UI: Flutter / Modern Web architecture with Tailwind CSS, Lucide Icons, and Material Design 3.
- Authentication & Backend: Firebase Authentication (Email/Password, Google OAuth, and secure session management).
- Offline & Cloud Storage: Local persistent caching + Firebase Firestore.
- Monetization Architecture: Designed with RevenueCat Purchases SDK integration for Pro vault capabilities.
Accomplishments That We're Proud Of
- Designing a sleek, distraction-free user interface with dark/light mode.
- Building strict authentication gating so that user vaults remain 100% private.
- Delivering a fully deployed live web application with sub-second clipboard retrieval.
What We Learned
- Integrating Firebase Authentication and managing real-time responsive states.
- Structuring cross-platform codebases designed for the RevenueCat developer ecosystem.
