Inspiration
Inspired by the luminous California canvases of David Hockney, we have reimagined the UI/UX of Chance Vision through a lens of youthful artistry. Our mission was to enhance utility with an aesthetic journey.
What it does
Except from remaining the APP's original function of presenting information of taken pictures from the surrounding environment, we hope to enhance the aesthetic-driven vibe.
While the lens selection has evolved from a simple swipings into a vibrant gallery of possibilities, eliminating guesswork with visual clarity, showing every feature and description in front of users utilizing fascinating visual performance.
Beyond a mere tool, we’ve transformed the "History" and "Collection" section into a curated "Social Gallery." By integrating gamified curation and social interactions, we’ve turned records into artworks, significantly boosting user engagement. From the delightful object-detection UX redesign during loading, to the high-aesthetic sharing templates, every touchpoint is designed to be a moment of joy, turning users into brand ambassadors across social media. Additionally, the photo selection before forming a sharable Instagram story is reframed as a polaroid image gallery, to situate users as if they are using polaroid to capture precious moments surrounding them.
How we built it
Major building was made with Figma, including color palette matching and prototype building. Adobe Express and Canva were used to organize documentation.
Challenges we ran into
Major challenges we encountered during the process include initial APP color palette selection and style unifying, as each of the team members chose to work on a separate function within the APP (Tommy is responsible for the Home Page, Elena is responsible for the Profile Memory, Jasmine is responsible for enhanced UX process while model processes, Tess is responsible for sharable post design).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We enjoy the process of design. Researching and understanding the need and feeling of users is a great experience. Enhancing user experience to provide them a more artistic product is bringing us happiness.
What we learned
Teamwork and collaboration requires intime communication. The process of creation also trained us to be more familiar with design tools such as Figma.
What's next for Snap your Dream with Chance Vision
The next step for Chance Vision will be motion design. With the elements flowing and transforming, the visual effect will bring the art vibe to daily life.
