Inspiration
To increase financial awareness in young women by demonstrating the outcome of their personal financial decisions.
What it does
In this simulation game the player initially declares what item they would like to buy and how much it would cost. They are then gifted a portion of this money and must then go through a series of choices involving solving strategies. How the player behave will eventually decided whether or not they will be able to purchase their desired item in the future.
How I built it
This desktop application was made using Python in PyCharm using Kivy.
Challenges I ran into
Setting up the development environment was very challenging. We are also all first time Python and Kivy users.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Learning to use a new language in such a short time and being able to link self made visuals to the project.
What I learned
We would like to have set clearer stages at the beginning of the project to help us have a consistent understanding of project goals.
What's next for Snap! Savings
We would like to have a more involved simulation that allows the user to have more control over their savings. We would also like to have the option for them to investigate an option to then get more information on that topic.
