Inspiration: To help small business owners

Small businesses often struggle to find the right people to work with. Many rely on word-of-mouth or expensive platforms that aren’t tailored to their specific needs. We wanted to create a simple, accessible platform that makes networking easier and helps small businesses thrive by connecting them with the right people in their community.

What it does:

It shows the home page of our website with optimized colors and fonts and has multiple options to apply your business and check reviews, and provides customer connection.

How we built it

We used React, JavaScript, HTML and CSS to make the project on VS Code where we compiled our project and we use git and GitHub to collaborate with each other.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into a lot of challenges throughout the event. As it was our first event, we had little to no knowledge about everything and so the whole first day went into brainstorming and understanding how GitHub works and how to develop websites. On second day, we were finally able to implement GitHub but we faced issue with downloading react and with the help of mentors we were able to download it and developed a website.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud of quickly learning new tools like React and GitHub and building a functional homepage. Despite the challenges, we were able to collaborate effectively and create a solid starting point for a platform that could help small business owners connect with the right people.

What we learned

This was our first hackathon and we came with little to no knowledge and throughout the hackathon, we learned about GitHub, git, react, node.js and more. It was a very good learning experience for us

What's next for Snack Overflow

We will try and implement more projects by using React and Next.
