Inspiration
I Was Inspired By Elimination Obbies Games Like Fun Run And Fall Guys. I Thought It Would Be Really Cool To See Something Similar In Meta Worlds.
What it does
Your Thrown Into A Elimination Platformer Where The Last Player To Survive Wins Best Snack. Made To Be Keep You On The Edge Till The End.
How we built it
I Started With Creating The Vending Machine In Blender. Then Using The Camera API I Modified The Mobile Players View To Be Able To Fully Enjoy The Game. Lastly, I Used Player Scaling To Make Players Larger If They Aren't In A Game And Tiny When They Are.
Challenges we ran into
Since The Last Competition I Have Tried To Tackle Typescript More, Along With Learning How To Better Use The Tools In Blender. The Biggest Challenge I Faced Would Be Handling Some Of The Camera API Until The Pan/Side scroller Camera Was Implemented.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I Learned How To Keep Mobile Users In Mind When Making Games, And How To Make Games More Intuitive. I'm Happy With The Knowledge I Gained Along The Way. From Blender Tricks To New Mechanisms I've Learned To Build In Typescript.
What's next for Snack Dash
Next I Intend To Add More Courses To Switch Out And Keep Players On They're Toes. I Also Plan To Add Some Different Snack Themed Cosmetics To Purchase.
