Inspiration

A couple of months back, my dad was ordering some takeout on the phone, I saw that it was a pain entering Payment credentials over and over again, especially when there's a lot of miscommunication, I also saw that there is a lot of human error. So Aurelien Negri and I made this bot.

What it does

This bot has a website that I can use to make a simple bot with a few commands, in the near feature we can add on to this a lot.

How I built it

I built the SMS bot With Aurelien and I researched a lot on Twilio, and how to use it I told Aurelien to start making the website, and do front end stuff, whilst I do backend

Challenges I ran into

We ran into a few challenges The first one was Reading the documentation and understanding Twilio, I Could not understand how to read the message at first, This was resolved by reading a lot of documentation and other resources but chewed a lot of our time. The next challenge was At the last second, my code broke, we were trying to save a file but I used node.js instead of Javascript, we once again researched for a while and were able to fix it

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm happy that I learned Twilio's API and made this in such a short amount of time, I'm proud that we debugged and found an alternate for a few problems in just a few minutes, and I'm proud of the communication, we both handled it well

What I learned

I learned that communication is very important, for example, I thought the due date was 8 Am and not 7:45

What's next for Sms Bot

A few things I was planning to add was A drop down of prebuilt functions and making it work 100% for restaurants without the need to write code.
