Inspiration
Our team, The Core, was inspired by the task to create a virtual cessation program from home.
What it does
The application finds local users in the area who also want to quit smoking. These people can connect with one another for additional support. Cinder users can also connect with their assigned counselor for more personal support sessions.
How we built it
This application was built on python using the kivy library.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenges we ran into were limitations on the technical design. We resorted to our main knowledge and created a basic user interface, but in the future we would like to expand upon the design. We also ran into an issue on uploading the video. When using Webex, the audio portion did not transfer. However, a description is included in the YouTube Link of our captions.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we completed a working Beta version of the app and have a broad future to continue with it.
What we learned
We learned about the importance of smoking cessation, how it affects the average American, and developed an in-depth experience working in python.

Next, we want to continue the marketing of our application and create a professional model of the app's design.
