Inspiration

We are living in a world where internet has become part of our life. And there are few problems that people face when online and one such issue is Cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is a real problem in today's society and a widespread issue.It has a huge negative impact on mental health. Cyberbullying can affect people of all ages, races, and genders. Everyone being online can be a possible victim. Still many people and children are not aware of it and they don't know how to prevent themselves in such situations. So SMILIE-Cyber Journey is brought to life to bring awareness and educate people about Cyberbullying is a gamified way.

What it does

A Game that bring awareness and educate ones to prevent, stand up to the worldwide problem of Cyberbullying in a funfilled way. It also provides ways to support againt Cyberbullying and keep user motivated by giving slogans, sayings and resources to becoming a victim of Cyberbullying. It is a endless game that is fun to play and it is about a character names SMILIE going on a cyber journey .It is facing problems from cyberbullying and the player has to help SMILIE on its journey. The app allows people to express themselves and their support towards Anti-Cyberbullying .Also provides way to learn and support user againt cyberbullying.

How we built it

SMILIE-Cyber Journey is a game made with unity and integrated with Snap Kit for the purpose of login and sharing from app. It is a Android game and has online leaderboard built in it. It features a complete game specific character design and UI design.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating Unity's Snap Kit SDK was a bit time taking and faced some challenges in integrating it to the game sharing screens. This was the first time working with online leaderboards and it was a challenge as well.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building something for a real world issue is the main one followed by making it as a game. And one get to learn a life lesson or saying/quote when the lose in the game. And everytime you lose in the game , you learn something new. It can have a positive impact on the people with postive quotes and saying.

What's next for SMILIE - Cyber Journey game

To provide more features and add more resources for cyberbullying measures. Add new characters and obstacles to the game. Embed user avatar in the leaderboard.
