What it does

Takes a picture when you smile

How we built it

We built it using an machine learning vision library in python called opencv.

Challenges we ran into

We had problems while training the actual model to detect smiling.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the fact that we spent a couple hours training a model checking to see if a person is smiling. We used some of our own data along with some of the data from online datasets including Kaggle.

What we learned

We learned how to deal with datasets and that deadlines are important.

What's next for Smile Detection

We would need to make it a full application as of right now it's still a script which you need to run with overloaded dependencies.
