Inspiration

Students often struggle with deciding what to study, when to study, and how to track their progress. Study resources are available everywhere, but they are not always organized around the individual student's goals.

I wanted to build a simple AI-powered study companion that helps students turn their goals into an actionable study plan and provides assistance when they get stuck.

What it does

SmartStudy AI is an AI-powered study assistant designed to help students:

• Create personalized study plans
• Organize tasks and learning goals
• Get AI-powered assistance with difficult topics
• Track study progress
• Manage their learning activities from one place

The goal is to make studying more structured, personalized, and accessible.

How I built it

The project was built using Python and Flask for the application backend, with a web-based interface for interacting with the study tools.

The application uses a database to store study tasks and progress information. AI functionality is integrated into the assistant component to provide students with contextual learning support.

Challenges

One of the main challenges was designing the application so that different study features could work together without making the interface complicated.

Another challenge was thinking about how an AI assistant should respond to students in a useful and educational way instead of simply providing answers.

I also had to balance functionality with the limited development time available during the hackathon.
