Inspiration
i ran into so many problem while verification of my document and in hospital my mother is not good in health . this inspire me to make something like that.
What it does
How we built it
SMARTQUEUE is built using React, FastAPI (Python), and MySQL/PostgreSQL. It manages digital tokens and virtual queues with real-time updates through WebSockets. A Map/Route API provides travel ETA, while Email, Push, and SMS notifications keep users informed, including users in low-internet connectivity areas. An intelligent chatbot analyzes available queue data to answer queue-related queries and provides the official helpline for unrelated or unavailable information. Admin and Staff dashboards manage queues, counters, services, and feedback.
Challenges we ran into
We faced challenges in designing a dynamic queue system that can handle changing queue positions, counter availability, priority cases, and missed turns. We also worked on integrating real-time updates, travel ETA, notifications, SMS support, chatbot assistance, and role-based access into one reliable system.
