Both creators are extremely interested in technology, and the struggle the modern American adult faces when presented with a plethora of unique, powerful smartphones is a relatable one. To prevent those people from being "Smartphowned", the "Smartphown Savior, Save me now!" button is a revolutionary tool in educated consumer business.

What it does

SmartphownSavior is intended to be the precedent for all product filtering services: easy tools for the modern consumer to filter out products, be it television, car, computer, or, you guessed it, SMARTPHONES! SmartphownSavior will tell YOU, the modern, maybe not so tech-savvy individual, what smartphone you need to fulfill your everyday demands. Smartphones make your life easier? Let US make it easier to make your life easier! Just click on that big button over there to get started! No accounts needed, no catch, completely free! It shouldn't have to be a minefield of clickbait for you to get what you need!

How I built it

The applet was built using .class Java, wich was then converted between HTML5, .htm, .fla, and .swf to attempt to integrate it as an embedded applet directly into the Wix site's source code. Using database coding, we were able to configure various entries of smartphones, specifying price, dimenions, release year, processing speed, RAM, cost, color, weight, etc.

Challenges I ran into

Being a free web domain host, Wix does not support source code injection from .class Java files. Even when converted to HTML5 and .htm, the source code did not display properly in the public view mode.
