Inspiration
Suicide prevention hotlines provide a great support network for people that require urgent care but sometimes those people cannot access the hotline because of calls building up and long wait lists.
What is SmartLine
SmartLine is an AI bot that assists suicide prevention hotline workers by talking to callers when the workers are occupied with other callers. When the worker is free, the caller gets redirected to the worker.
How we did it
Using DialogFlow API, we allowed our bot to respond to what the caller says.
What was challenging
Getting something to respond to what our caller says
What we felt we accomplished
Being able to use the APIs that were available, and getting what we wanted out of the bot.

What's next for SmartLine
Implementing the bots in National hotlines and slowly making it readily available worldwide
