We created Smartify AI to help students learn at their own pace and get support when a lesson or concept feels difficult. We wanted to make personalized learning more accessible for students studying at home.

What it does

Smartify AI is an educational platform that guides students through lessons, practice questions, and quizzes. It aims to adapt learning support to each student’s needs and help them identify topics that need more practice.

How we built it

We built Smartify AI as a web platform with a student experience, learning content, practice activities, and an AI tutor. AI agents (Open AI, Claude, Copilot in VS Code ) did development and helped us explore and implement parts of the product. We reviewed and tested the results as we integrated them.

What we learned

We learned that an AI learning product needs more than a chat interface: lesson structure, clear explanations, useful practice, and careful testing all matter. We also learned to review AI-generated work and refine it to fit the learning experience.

Challenges

One challenge was turning a broad idea—personalized learning—into a structured experience that students can actually use. We also had to balance helpful AI support with reliable lesson content and a simple interface.
