Inspiration

Many small business owners in our community struggle with manual inventory management. They often face losses due to overstocking or missing out on sales because of stockouts. I wanted to create a solution that gives these local heroes the power of AI-driven insights without requiring them to know a single line of code. SmartFlow AI was born to bridge this digital divide.

What it does

SmartFlow AI is an intelligent inventory management tool. It allows users to track their stock effortlessly, but more importantly, it uses AI to:

Predict Future Demand: Analyzes past sales data to forecast what will be in demand next week.

Smart Alerts: Notifies users before a product runs out.

Insightful Dashboard: Provides a clear visual overview of business health and profit trends.

How I built it

I used the MeDo platform to build the entire ecosystem. Leveraging its no-code capabilities, I designed a user-friendly interface. I integrated the built-in AI/Machine Learning modules to process inventory data and generate predictions. The database was structured to handle real-time updates to ensure data accuracy.

Challenges I ran into

The biggest challenge was making complex data analysis look simple for the end-user. Fine-tuning the AI model to give accurate predictions based on limited initial data was also a learning curve, but the flexibility of the MeDo platform helped me iterate quickly.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud that I successfully built a functional AI-powered tool that actually solves a real-world problem for non-technical users. Seeing the "Smart Alert" system work perfectly for the first time was a great moment!

What I learned

I learned that you don't need to be a software engineer to build impactful technology. This journey taught me a lot about user experience (UX) and how machine learning can be simplified for everyday use.

What's next for SmartFlow AI

I plan to add more features like automatic supplier ordering and a mobile app version for even easier access on the go. My goal is to see local shopkeepers using SmartFlow AI to grow their businesses.
