Inspiration
As international students, we often struggle with planning my meals and managing my nutrition while going to the gym. This is a common problem among other college students, who find it difficult to make time for meal planning. As a result, many students end up eating unhealthy food, which impacts both their health and fitness goals.
To solve this problem, we came up with a solution: an app that seamlessly generates grocery lists and provides meal options. The app not only ensures students meet their nutritional goals, but also saves them time and money by creating efficient grocery lists that reduce food waste.
What it does
This app is designed to help users:
Plan their meals Generate grocery lists based on dietary preferences and nutritional goals Suggest meal options using the available groceries Additionally, the app will track grocery usage and update meal options accordingly. It's perfect for college students, gym-goers, and people with specific dietary needs.
Challenges we ran into
As first-timers, we were initially unsure how to execute this app idea, but our enthusiasm kept us motivated. We spent a significant amount of time experimenting with different platforms, trying to find the best one for our project. Through this process, we learned a lot about how hackathons work and how to utilize our time efficiently. Although it was challenging, it has been an incredibly rewarding experience.
