We all at leanGears work on too many projects at once - community, personal, family and professional. Managing all of these projects is still a challenge. We at times get overwhelmed and wish someone could manage our work and optimize the list to get most important things done effectively. That's how it was born.

What it does

It manages all the work in one place, suggests what's important at any point of time based on pattern of work done in the past and optimizes what all can be done at a specific location and time. It reduces manual effort of typing in stuff with VUI.

How we built it

We 3 folks from leanGears invited two more developers on the day of hackathon. We explored how better we can use the available APIs from sponsors here. We choose bare minimum features one list and one board with VUI and location suggestion as MVP and built it.

Challenges we ran into

Alexa was fairly new to us. So it took sometime for us to learn and design the VUI.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that there is a problem that we are solving. Our philosophy is that if we can't use the product ourselves, don't build it. We have built something that we can use ourselves.

What we learned

We learnt a great deal on how to minimize useful features that can be built in short time.

What's next for SmarTasc

Smart integration with all the tools that people use at work and on phones. Machine learning to study patterns and make decisions easy for users.
