this is SMART DUSTBIN nowadays what we see is people do not want to touch the dustbins or go near to it!! and once the dustbin is filled no-one(related authority person) comes to pick it up and the dustbin is kept like that till many days... to overcome this problem we came up with the idea of smart dustbin... there are following benefits of the smart dustbin: 1.the gates of the dustbin are automatic i.e there is no nee to touch the dustbin anymore as soon as the person approaches or comes near the dustbin , the gates open automatically 2.this smart dustbin can measure the depth inside of it to tell us about how much the dustbin is filled 3.this smart dustbin is capable of informing the concerned authorities about the details of the dustbin whether it is filled or not 4.it will send an sms whenever it is filled so the concerned authorities may clear the waste kept inside.. 5.in future we will be working on it to send the location of the dustbin on google maps so that the concerned authorities like truck driver come to know about where the dustbin is kept. for automatic gates we used an IR sensor and servo motor... for calculating depth we used ultrasonic sensor... we also use a 16x2 LCD display to print results from ultrasonic sensor.... we will be using an ESP8266 wifi module for wireless communication...
