Inspiration
Interior design is often expensive, time-consuming, and requires professional expertise. Many people struggle to visualize how a space will look before execution. We were inspired to create Smart Wizard AI to make interior design accessible, intelligent, and instant for everyone using the power of Artificial Intelligence.
What it does
Smart Wizard AI is an AI-powered interior design assistant that: Takes room dimensions and user preferences as input Automatically generates optimized room layouts Suggests furniture placement, styles, and spacing Provides visual 2D/3D design outputs Allows users to refine designs interactively
How we built it
We built Smart Wizard AI using: A user-friendly frontend for input and visualization AI models trained on interior design patterns and layout rules 3D rendering engines to visualize designs in real time A backend system that processes inputs and generates design recommendations The system follows a pipeline of input → AI analysis → layout generation → visualization → refinement.
Challenges we ran into
Designing AI logic that balances aesthetics and functionality Handling different room shapes and sizes efficiently Optimizing performance for real-time layout generation Ensuring designs remain user-friendly for non-experts
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully created an AI-driven automated design workflow Reduced design time from hours to minutes Built an interface that works for both beginners and professionals Achieved visually realistic and functional layout suggestions
What we learned
How AI can be applied to creative problem-solving The importance of user experience in AI-based tools Integrating AI logic with real-time visualization systems Handling real-world constraints like space optimization
What's next for Smart Wizard AI
Adding more design styles and customization options Integrating AR/VR for real-world visualization Supporting full home and commercial space planning Improving AI accuracy using user feedback and learning loops Launching as a mobile and web application
