Both the hardware and software reduce energy costs and helps keep your living area cool! The inspiration for the Smart Window originally came from my experiences with my hot apartment on cool days. I was always frustrated that the windows were closed and the AC unit was working hard and wasting energy on something that could have just as easily been solved by opening a window. This smart window targets anyone who is conscientious about helping the environment and reducing their energy costs.
Some features we are most proud of include the water sensor that will close the window if it is raining outside and the communication between the indoor and outdoor temperature sensors.
