Good sleep is essential for health, but often, environmental factors like noise, temperature, and humidity can disrupt rest without us even realizing it. Inspired by the idea of creating a simple yet effective way to monitor and improve sleep environments, we built a smart sleep mask. We wanted a solution that not only tracked important factors but also made it easy for users to access real-time data and take small actions that could lead to better sleep quality.
The smart sleep mask continuously measures noise levels, temperature, and humidity around the user while they sleep. It sends this data to a connected Blynk dashboard, where users can monitor their sleep environment in real time. If conditions become unfavorable — like noise exceeding a threshold or temperature drifting out of an ideal range — visual indicators and a “sleep score” system alert the user, helping them optimize their surroundings for a deeper, more restful sleep.
