Inspiration
We were inspired by the growing problem of improper waste segregation, overflowing bins, and inefficient recycling management. We wanted to create a smart solution to support cleaner and more sustainable cities.
What it does
Our Smart Waste Segregation and Recycling Dashboard provides a centralized view of bin status, collection activities, waste analytics, recycling performance, and alerts. It helps users monitor waste management and make better operational decisions.
How we built it
We developed an interactive web dashboard with visual charts, summary cards, data tables, and monitoring sections. The interface organizes important waste management information in one place.
Challenges we ran into
We faced challenges in organizing multiple dashboard modules, presenting data clearly, and connecting different waste management functions into one user-friendly interface.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We created a dashboard concept that brings waste monitoring, collection planning, analytics, and recycling insights together in a single platform.
What we learned
We learned how to design a dashboard, present data visually, organize project modules, and develop a technology-based solution for a real-world environmental problem.
What's next
We plan to integrate real-time IoT sensors, AI-based overflow prediction, optimized collection routes, and live recycling plant data to make the system more intelligent and efficient.
