Inspiration

As high schoolers we learn about the changing environment everyday. More than that we experience it ourselves. Seeing that there are many species that are critically endangered due to rise in climate change and have summers that were unbearably hot made us really question what the root cause was. As we learnt more about it our conclusion was that not being able to do the small things right is causing bigger impacts. Like not put the right materials in the right bin causes unnecessary waste to be processed on a pathway that is not right for it. Also causing pathway for toxic materials. Which is why we thought it was important to have a website that tells you just that.

What it does

The Smart Waste Management website helps the user to identify the type of waste, and tells the user how they can recycle it. This app also generates recycling centers location depending upon their zip code.
