Inspiration
My inspiration comes from the urge to build solutions that makes the lives of people easier. And Smart Tutor Lite does just that for students.
What it does
Smart Tutor Lite is an offline-first AI powered mobile app designed to help students in their academic activities. It has features like Note taking (available both offline and online), Summarizing Notes or PDF handouts, Quiz generation from Notes, Converting notes to Audio formats to aid learning, and Flashcards generation.
How we built it
Flutter app built with: Architecture: Clean Architecture (domain/data/presentation) with BLoC state management Dependency injection: get_it + injectable Backend: Firebase + TypeScript Firebase Functions (Node.js) Offline-first: Local storage via Hive and SQLite. Features: Transcription/Note generation, summarization, quiz generation, flashcards, text-to-speech, study folders.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating the Note taking feature(offline and online) was one of the hardest challenges i faced while building this app.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Pulling off the Offline and online note taking feature is one achievement to be proud of.
What we learned
Really learnt to keep trying no matter what.
