We wanted to make a more real approach with the drivers, by making a mobile app that helps and guides them in their several deliveries in an efficient way.
What it does
The mobile app loads an optimal route that has been created earlier with our webpage. The driver can see the route in the app and follow its path in the map. Also he can see and updated state of the truck, where are the palets put, what has been delivered...
How we built it
First of we divided the project in frontend and backend. The frontend consisted in ellaborating a mobile app for the driver that managed the deliveries. The backend had the algorithms to find a way to achieve an efficient route and an optimal way to load the truck to help the driver in this aspect. Also we added a web page that it's in charge of creating the optimal routes for the driver.
Challenges we ran into
The most challenging part of this project was to decide what to prioritize in order to elaborate the algorithms for the routing creation and the loading of the trucks, since we had a lot of data to work with, we had so many factors to consider.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of being able to find a solution due to the massive data that we had in the first place.
What we learned
We have learned to manage large data and different inputs and be able to find an optimal solution with them.
