Inspiration

I wanted to build a tool that helps people manage their tasks efficiently and stay productive. Many existing solutions felt either too complicated or lacked intuitive design, so I aimed to create a simple, user-friendly platform that could be used by anyone to organize, track, and complete tasks seamlessly.

What it does

Smart Task Manager allows users to add, edit, and delete tasks, set deadlines, and track progress through a clean and responsive interface. It also sends reminders for upcoming deadlines and prioritizes tasks based on urgency, helping users stay focused and productive.

How we built it

Frontend: React.js, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for a responsive and interactive UI. Backend: Node.js with Express.js to handle API requests efficiently. Database: MongoDB for storing tasks and user information reliably. Tools: Git/GitHub for version control, Postman for API testing, and AI tools for debugging and optimizing workflows.

Challenges we ran into

Managing asynchronous API calls and ensuring smooth data flow between frontend and backend. Designing a database schema that efficiently handles task priorities and deadlines. Making the UI responsive across different devices and screen sizes. Integrating real-time reminders and notifications without performance issues.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Delivered a fully functional full stack application that is both intuitive and efficient. Successfully implemented a priority-based task tracking system. Learned to integrate frontend and backend seamlessly while maintaining clean code practices.
