Students often struggle to organize their study schedules and understand complex topics efficiently. Traditional study methods rely on static notes and long documentation, which can make learning slow and overwhelming. We wanted to create a smarter solution that uses artificial intelligence to guide students through their learning journey. Our idea was to build an AI-powered study assistant that can generate personalized study plans, quizzes, and explanations to help students learn faster and stay organized. This idea led to the creation of ExamNova AI, an intelligent learning platform powered by Amazon Nova. What it does ExamNova AI is an AI-powered study assistant that helps students prepare for exams more effectively. The platform allows students to: • Generate personalized study plans based on subjects and goals • Chat with an AI tutor to understand difficult concepts • Take AI-generated quizzes to test knowledge • Get structured explanations and learning guidance Instead of spending hours searching for resources, students can simply enter a topic and receive an organized learning plan generated by AI. How we built it The platform was built using modern web technologies and AI services. Frontend Next.js TypeScript Tailwind CSS Backend Node.js API routes Database Prisma ORM SQLite AI Integration Amazon Nova models through Amazon Bedrock Amazon Nova powers the intelligent features of the platform such as study plan generation, AI tutoring, and personalized learning assistance. Challenges we ran into One of the main challenges was integrating AI-generated content into structured study plans that are useful for students. We also had to design prompts that guide the AI to produce clear and organized responses. Another challenge was building a responsive interface that allows users to interact with AI smoothly. Accomplishments that we're proud of We successfully built a fully functional AI-powered learning platform that demonstrates how AI can improve education. Key accomplishments include: • Integrating Amazon Nova into a real application • Building an AI tutor system • Generating structured study plans automatically • Creating a clean and interactive user interface What we learned Through this project we learned: • How to integrate Amazon Nova models using cloud services • How to design prompts for structured AI responses • How AI can be applied to improve educational tools This project gave us practical experience building AI-powered applications.
