Inspiration

Students often have to manage multiple things at once: studying, planning tasks, tracking progress, and finding relevant academic opportunities. I wanted to create one simple platform that brings these needs together instead of making students switch between different tools.

What it does

Smart Student AI is an AI-powered study and scholarship assistant designed to help students organize their academic journey.

The platform provides:

• 📚 Study Planner — create and manage study tasks.
• 🎓 Scholarship Support — keep track of academic opportunities.
• 🤖 AI Assistant — get guidance and answers related to studying.
• 📊 Progress Tracking — monitor completed tasks and academic progress.

How I built it

The project was built using Python and Flask for the backend, with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the web interface. I used SQLite for storing tasks and scholarship information and environment variables for securely managing configuration.

I focused on creating a simple interface where students can access their planning, opportunities, and academic assistance from one place.

Challenges

One of the main challenges was combining multiple student-focused features into a single application while keeping the interface simple and easy to use. I also worked on connecting the frontend, Flask backend, database, and AI functionality into one workflow.

What I learned

Building this project helped me improve my understanding of Flask web development, database integration, application structure, and creating practical AI-powered features. It also taught me how to turn a real-world problem into a usable software solution.

Future Improvements

I would like to add personalized study recommendations, smarter scholarship matching, stronger progress analytics, and additional AI-powered learning features in future versions.
