Inspiration
The Internet of Things are normally a physically object, but we wanted to extended this to living space and bring smart objects to your every day life in the home
How it works
So first off we use the Robin beacons to detect what room you're in. Once it knows what room you're in, it makes context aware decisions. It also integrates with a Raspberry Pi/Arduino combined module to broadcast heat and light to the app to have even more intelligent context aware rooms
Challenges I ran into
Yosemite has some bugs/instability after getting rid of a bunch of bloatware code on their low level system. MySQL stopped working for me locally completely. Also, integrating the Robin API was painful, because the objects were displayed from JSON in a way that you wouldn't originally think of
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Getting Robin integrated and having context aware rooms. Having a Rasberry Pi to SSH into and get sensor data to give even more context specifics.
What's next for Smart Spaces

Machine Learning to give you even more personalized actions in the space
Integration with large scale conventions or museums
