Inspiration
What it does
Dehumidifies a room when the sensor detects and checks with Gemini API
How we built it
Challenges we ran into
We initially wanted to use sensors to detect temperature and humidity by connecting directly to the wifi board but unfortunately we do not have those sensors. Then we came out with an idea to use Google Gemini API to collect real time weather in Sheffield. Sadly, Google Gemini API does not have the features to access real time data as a language model. We still don't want to give up, we tried to use weather forecast API and such a bad luck, we ain't got no money.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This is our first time joining a hackathon. Compared to the others, there's a huge gap of experiences and knowledges but we are proud to be among the participants at the same time learning new things.
What we learned
What's next for Smart Silica Gel Dehumidifier
There are some more factors that can be considered in order to activate this dehumidifier. We hope to explore more on this and take into consideration. Additionally, this product have the potential to become evolve with other smart home devices and maybe can be one of the necessities in a smart home.
