Inspiration

To prevent further infections of SARS-COV-2, I thought of a design that can be used to various locations even after lockdowns. The design should be sustainable in the sense that low/middle income countries can also use them.

What it does

It is a smart area wherein people can be sanitized using basic health protocols and at the same time the place uses various sensors that can detect basic health status (temperature, face recognition to check symptoms) and will be automatically send to healthcare systems.

How I built it

Right now, I just though of this idea by integrating different designs and ideas from varios patents I read. In addition, I would like to integrate low-cost materials into the design so low/middle income countries can use them.

Challenges I ran into

I would like to get help from info science people that can set-up the wireless communication and sensors needed for the smart saniplace. Moreover, the standard protocols for sanitation processes are needed.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I think this idea is novel enough and can be patented.

What I learned

I learned that different ideas can be combined to come up for a better solution for the present problems caused by COVID-19.

What's next for Smart SaniPlace

I would like to start building this idea into a prototype with the help of others.
