Inspiration

Organic waste is a major environmental challenge, but it also contains valuable energy. We were inspired to find a way to convert this waste into useful electricity while reducing pollution and improving waste management.

What We Built

We developed a Smart Organic Waste to Electricity Generation System that uses organic waste as an energy resource. The system demonstrates how waste can be processed to generate energy and how sensors and a microcontroller can be used to monitor the process.

How We Built It

We designed and simulated the prototype using ESP32, sensors, and control components. The system monitors important parameters and demonstrates the conversion process from organic waste to electrical energy. The prototype was developed and tested in a simulation environment before considering real-world implementation.

Challenges We Faced

One of the main challenges was designing a reliable system that could monitor the waste-to-energy process and respond to changing conditions. We also had to ensure that the prototype was practical, scalable, and suitable for real-world implementation.

What We Learned

Through this project, we learned about embedded systems, sensors, energy conversion, automation, and sustainable waste management. Most importantly, we learned how technology can transform an environmental problem into a useful energy solution.

Future Scope

The system can be expanded for real-world applications such as smart waste collection, biogas-based electricity generation, IoT monitoring, and automated energy management, helping communities convert organic waste into a valuable renewable energy source.
