What it does

Sets custom alerts for any type of medication (pills, injections, drops) at the exact time you need them, automatically adjusting for time zone changes. Confirm when a dose is taken right on the platform. Get instant visibility into your adherence history to share with doctors and caregivers.

How we built it

We built this platform on a foundation of empathy, security, and proven engineering. Our process began not with lines of code, but with listening to the needs of caregivers and patients. We engineered a robust, redundant system using secure, encrypted servers to ensure absolute data privacy and guaranteed alert delivery. Every feature was rigorously beta-tested for maximum simplicity, resulting in a medical alert system that is both powerfully reliable and exceptionally easy to use."

Challenges we ran into

Mobile devices, internet connectivity, and operating system updates are highly variable. Our greatest challenge is designing a system that bypasses all these potential points of failure to ensure a critical alert is delivered exactly when needed, every single time, regardless of the user's phone model or network status.

What we learned

We initially focused on adding numerous features, but we quickly learned that for health management, complexity is the enemy of adherence. Users are often stressed or managing multiple conditions; the system had to be instantly intuitive. But later we stripped away all non-essential elements, refining the user interface to ensure the core task—setting and receiving an alert—can be done in the fewest possible steps. Clarity became our highest priority.
