Inspiration
Many businesses struggle with revenue leakage and customer churn because they don’t know exactly which customers are at risk or how renewals will perform.
I was inspired to create a solution that brings all these insights together in one place, making it easier for managers and leaders to make smarter, faster, data-driven decisions.
What it does
The Revenue & Renewal Hub is a Tableau Next dashboard suite that helps businesses:
- Monitor revenue health in real-time.
- Identify at-risk customers by churn probability, renewal likelihood, and engagement.
- Forecast renewals and revenue with predictive analytics.
- Track revenue leakage and recovery opportunities.
- Provide a high-level executive summary for decision-makers.
It’s like a command center for revenue performance and customer retention.
How I built it
- Used Tableau Next for all dashboards and visualizations.
- Created calculated fields for churn rate, expected renewal value, and customer ranking.
- Designed line charts, bar graphs to visualize renewal trends and risks.
- Built a navigation hub with interactive buttons linking all dashboards.
- Applied Tableau Next’s forecasting analytics to predict revenue and renewal outcomes.
Challenges I ran into
- Tableau Next doesn’t have all the features of Tableau Desktop (e.g., Top N filter), so I had to create custom calculated ranks.
- Designing dashboards that are simple for business leaders but still detailed enough for analysis.
- Making the navigation portal clean and user-friendly.
