Inspiration

I was frustrated with Superhuman so I created my own email management but in the process I made some breakthroughs in function calling that allowed me to evolve it into how I see myself using tech in the future.

What it does

It combines 3rd party agents and/or in-house agents to solve the request of the user in seconds.

How we built it

It uses React, Typescript, and NextJS. It's powered by a custom Function calling that allows the llm create custom chain workflows and run them in parallel. All powered by open source llama 4 scout, using Cerebras and Groq.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest bottle neck is how many functionalities we have available. This weekend I created a pipeline that allows the llm to write its own code and do research of the latest API for a given problem

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The whole platform is voice first, interactive and completely customizable and accessible for the AI. All runs in open source llms, provides instant responses, and is able to do multi tasking. Which is a huge advantage over other platforms like Manus where they only do one task that can take several minutes.

What we learned

The more high tech your company looks like, the higher the expectation they have over the product. Also, people have a bias that voice ai will fail before trying it, but at the same time is where everyone see the future is. It's a matter of coming up with a strong, narrow solution but show what is possible at the same time.

What's next for Smart Manager

Finish the MVP and launch. I still need to incorporate calendar and to do list to have an holistic approach so users can completely move away they general management over to us.
