Inspiration
The automatic switches we had at our dorms at Mason
What it does
It turns on fans, and lights and greets the person who enters with a pleasant sound
How we built it
We used an Arduino UNO board and connected it with an ultrasound sensor. The sensor sends waves and detects obstacles. If an obstacle is detected within a certain parameter it turns on everything and welcomes the person on a screen
Challenges we ran into
Learning how to code in Arduino
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Programming it and doing the hardware wiring(it was pretty hectic) and learning how to use new components
What we learned
Arduino and its programming and componnets
What's next for Smart Kamra
A large scale model to a room and making it comercial
